I couldn't understand you.

A life spent as
A child, a teenager, a sweet sixteen, a young lady
As a wife
As a mother
And now old.

Ma, I was unaware,
As a child you must  have been scolded as any other
In teen age,as a young lady
You must have been wooed,
Sometimes teased, sometimes harassed
Physically, mentally, emotionally.


I was unaware,
Marriage was not a bed of roses for you.
Neither raising children.

I live because of your pain ma.
